Netflix Has Renewed “Night Agent” For Season 2
Netflix has announced that “The Night Agent” has been renewed for a second season. The action thriller series premiered on March 23 and has quickly become popular among audiences, earning 168.71 million hours viewed and reaching the top spot on Netflix’s weekly Top 10 chart. The second season of the series will consist of 10 episodes.
The show follows a low-level FBI agent who works in the basement of the White House and is suddenly thrust into a dangerous conspiracy that leads all the way to the Oval Office. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk and stars Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Phoenix Raei, Enrique Murciano, D. B. Woodside, and Hong Chau.
Shawn Ryan, the creator of the show, expressed his joy at the positive reaction from audiences and is excited to continue the story in season two. Jinny Howe, the vice president of drama series at Netflix, praised the show and the cast, while Katherine Pope, the president of Sony Pictures Television, also expressed excitement at continuing to work on the series.
