Tune in to the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 Event

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 has concluded, unveiling a range of new Galaxy devices. For those who may have missed the event, a concise recap is available: a brief 10-minute video showcasing the highlights of Samsung Galaxy Unpacked S24. The event featured not only new smartphones but also delved into the realm of artificial intelligence (AI), presenting a glimpse of what’s to come.

The star of the show was the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, comprising three models. The base model, S24, starts at $799 for the 128GB variant. An enticing offer awaits those who place an order by January 25 – a complimentary Watch 6. Moving up the hierarchy, the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra come in at $1,000 and $1,300, respectively, for their 256GB configurations. Across the entire S24 series, users in the United States can benefit from the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, delivering the requisite power for the smartphones’ AI functionalities.

At the heart of the Galaxy S24 series is Samsung’s latest Gauss Generative AI model. Collectively known as Galaxy AI, this comprehensive system introduces a range of innovative features. Notable among them is live two-way translations for phone calls, a feature that operates seamlessly on the device without the need for Wi-Fi or cellular connections. The Galaxy AI system extends its language capabilities to Interpreter, facilitating in-person translations, and Samsung Keyboard, offering message translations across 13 languages. In the realm of communication, Android Auto can now summarize messages received while driving and propose responses, which can be approved through voice commands.

The integration of Galaxy AI extends beyond communication to enhance the photographic experience on the S24 series. Samsung claims that Galaxy AI contributes to image stabilization, digital zoom, and improved performance in low-light conditions. Moreover, it provides intelligent suggestions for photo edits and introduces Generative Fill, allowing users to change the background. It is worth noting that the latter feature necessitates a network connection and applies a watermark to the edited photo.
